DRIE West values
the time and effort devoted by many people to making successful meetings,
symposia, and conferences.
These guidelines are provided in the interest of encouraging a focus on productive discussion of business continuity, emergency planning, risk management, and related matters. Adhering to these guidelines will assist all persons and groups presenting to DRIE West to focus their material so as to be consistent with the DRIE West objectives.
DRIE West is not a vehicle for promoting products or services. Members and friends of DRIE West invest their time to attend DRIE West to exchange information -- but not to attend sales presentations or other activities that are -- or are perceived to be -- of greater benefit to the presenter or an organization represented by the presenter.
Presentations to DRIE West and at DRIE West events must:
-
meet a high standard of informative content; and
-
have a clear topic that has an obvious relationship to one or more aspects of business continuity, emergency planning, or risk management.
Passive distribution of materials may be permitted, but activities such as soliciting and gathering resumes are not.
