DRIE West is dedicated to providing a local forum where members support each other through an exchange of ideas, information, and user experiences.

DRIE West is a vital link to keep abreast of developments related to business continuity, disaster preparedness, risk, response, and recovery.

DRIE West is a member-based non-profit association of practitioners who are involved and interested in business continuity, disaster recovery, contingency planning, and related risk management fields.

DRIE West, which is led by a volunteer executive, exists to promote professionalism and to:

  • Promote the concepts of contingency planning and effective risk management to business.

  • Promote a high level of informed practice amongst contingency planners across the DRIE West region.

  • Encourage cooperation, raise understanding, and establish interest among businesses, governments, organizations and individuals of the importance of contingency planning.

  • Provide a resource for information related to contingency planning and emergency response.

  • Provide timely information about contingency planning education and certification through DRIE West events and symposia

  • Provide an effective exchange of information about regional and

    global forums and other industry-related events.
